March Test Drive Meme!

The New State of Alola has been… well? Somewhat busy as of late!

With life returning to the land, the island of Ula’ula has been seeing a massive Multicultural Center being built along the coast, with the aid of the four worlds now joined to the Pokemon World. And with Giratina having left the world and most people having returned to their worlds, while some others stayed behind for their own reasons, things have begun to take a remarkable bazar-like quality.

Po Town especially has taken itself seriously, as the main center of Team Skull activity as a home for those who are outcast and trodden but also, as a place where those who can arrive came come and check out the “real life” of Alola. Sort of a tourist trap unique to Po Town of their own. Malie City has rejuvenated their life with daily events of their own. The sleepy towns of Poni Island have seen more and more visitors lately, and there’s been unique visitors everywhere.

Some of these people are just strange, odd, and willing to visit with you along the way. Come on in, Alola’s fine, and the days are getting warm!

The Prompts As Follows

A large swole duck holding a large piece of wood that could serve as a maul approaches you with his equally large Pokemon and politely asks you if you have any change to spare.

A man dressed in a Ride Pokemon outfit descends a building wall mounted on the back of a giant Ariados. He shouts, “Need a ride? No faster way to get to Malie CIty! Reasonable rates!”

A grumpy looking man sits at a table with a sign attached to it that reads, “Ash Ketchum was cheated out of his Sinnoh Victory. Change my mind.”

A group of students from the Pokemon School from Kanto moves through the street, asking for directions to Olivia’s Trials.

Outside the bank, a Hiker screams at a Pokemaniac, “What do you mean it’s lost?”

Olivia and Nanu pass a bottle of spirits back and forth and sing a bwdy song. Passerby are torn about calling the cops on their beloved Kahuna.

Three children Pokemon battling play dangerously close to the edge of a bridge.

A disguised Team Rocket member approaches and promises to give you the answer to all the problems with your Pokemon that ever existed for 42 Pokedollars.

You come near an old home in Poni Island and a ghost of an old man dressed in old clothing appears. “Get off my lawn!” the figure gripes.

Wildcard!

MANDATORY CHECK IN AND ANNOUNCEMENT

Okay so we know that the game has been in a state of turmoil since the events of January and the subsequent IRL events of Covid-19 turning the entire world into disarray. That being said, this is a Mandatory Check-In to see who is still around. From here, we'll have a total of 8 days to check-in everyone, with a count of all active characters.

Even if you're on a hiatus, PLEASE, comment below with your character, your avenue of contact and if you're still going to be in the game so we can continue to proceed as needed. The worst case scenario as discussed by the Moderator team is that we will shutter Fallers until Covid-19 allows for our IRL schedules to line up again, and re-open in the latter part of the year, or just continue as needed because our focus is nowhere right now.

Or...

Come up with a new strategy to breathe new life into the game. The discussion for this game will take place after all parties have made certain to tag in with their characters and all drops/hiatuses and stays have been processed in Eight Days.

Thank you.

Check-in is from NOW, 2:30PM MNT 4/1/2020 to 4/8/2020.

I say this with all love and attention, I love all of you guys and I love everything we've done. So I want to know if anyone is still out there.

All the best.

For our 4th wall, our structure is as such for the next two weeks covering the 10th to the 24th!

On the 10th, Giratina will arrive on the school grounds, and his presence will cause Fallers to appear in Alola and the surrounding islands. Anyone from the Anime Universe from any time frame will be warped to Alola at this current point in time of the Anime.

The usual power leveling scaling will be put into place and players are expected to adhere to the PG rating of the setting, as a mingle will be put up during the first day. This will be given in a cutscene with several prompts for NPCs to be asked questions, and places of interest for the new 4thFallers to visit.

New 4thFallers are sheltered in the Silver Star Hotel, which has opened emergency shelter for all of these new people. Overflow people will be allowed to rest in the other Hotels around the Town.

A welcome potluck will be held on the 10th as well in the mingle from the people, and you are free to explore the islands, mingle, and post open threads in the comms between the 10th to the 24th with the tag #4thFaller in the subject line.

On Friday the 14th, all the island gathers in Akala Island for the 43rd Annual Akala Island Rodeo, which is a big rodeo festival. It’s a huge carnival, filled with festival goers from all over the island and beyond, visitors from the other lands of Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos, and some old and new faces may be seen in during this event who you may be able to see during this event.

There will be a semi-organized Pokemon Battle Tournament which you can have fun in, and in game awards for Tauros riding, and Mudsdale rodeo. Wooloo petting and fireworks on the end of the week.

Once Giratina wakes from his nap, the 4thFallers will be whisked back home, unless they have been apped for properly, in which case, welcome to the game!

Any questions can be made down below!

Fallers Mods

Our Ground Rules as Follows:

1. Everyone gets a Pokemon for any battle happy moments. The only Pokemon who are not on the table are actual mythicals and legendaries unless said character has a in character reason to possess them in their own canon.
2. Remember this is a PG setting with PG setting rules
3. Visitors are allowed to make top levels in this post and the Friday Event post as well as post open threads for the duration of the 4th wall
4. Duplicates are certainly allowed
5. Please refrain from destroying in-game property, this setting doesn’t allow for instant rebuilding of locations.
6. Visitors may always join our Discord for chatting with the cast during this event. A link will be active for the duration of the event and you may ask an active player for a link at any time.
7. In game NPCs can be available for questions at any time but please keep in mind that the head mod is only one person and can only do so many tags at any given time. If you haven’t received a tag yet, it is because there is a queue.
8. And as always remember to be Excellent to One Another

As of February 2020, The Ultra Riders, a unique branch of Ultra Guardians have been opened up with the arrival to Duckburg and Crystal Cove. This has prompted the production of a Cybergate landing pad in the schoolyard of the Alola Pokemon School, manned by the former members of Overwatch who have been ousted from their own world. Access to the former Overwatch World has been banned by their own government, due to defection, and Jack Morrison has partnered up with Commander Shaw and Scrooge McDuck in order to foster better work.

What does this mean for the Fallers?

1. Access to their Homeworlds!

With the technology provided by Winston, and local resident geniuses from Grid Battleforce, the Cybergate has been manned and fully activated. Using the power of Solgaleo to navigate, Ultra Guardians will pioneer travel into the Fallers Worlds now to help their worlds against the Ultra Beasts and random Pokemon who are appearing in their worlds! This is an optional B-plot and can be taken. Each mission undertaken, both logged and handwaved will unlock each worlds permanently in the World List provided the players involved are in agreement.

2. Players will be able to send their characters home with the Provision that their characters are willing to return to Alola

With the knowledge that still some of their friends are lost in the worlds beyond, expeditions are even more crucial, as well as helping people rest and recover from their own worlds troubles and dangers. Recovery from their trials and tribulations is still a major part of Fallers, and knowing that the Ultra Recon Squad are working hard to help your player characters recover their worlds from Eternatus, the most powerful Pokemon in history, well... it might be crucial for you to stick around and help, right?

3. Travel to Worlds are Completely Voluntary!

This is going to be our running B-plot after February is done! We'll be returning to a more slice of life storyline, while this option will be always open for people to log and take advantage of! This will also allow the mod team to consider and open up more worlds for canon exploration, events and flexibility in storytelling.

If there are any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

February Test Drive Meme!

Welcome to AlolaDuckburg!

Life is like a hurricane! Here in, Duckburg! Racecars, lasers, aeroplanes! It’s a duck blur!

That’s right everyone in the Chase Team, you’ve finally arrived in the peaceful town of Duckburg! Here, you can actually rest, relax, and try to wind down a little. People, ducks, dogs, cats, and other animals of all kinds will show you around as you stay at the McDuck Hotel for a nominal fee paid for by the Crystal Cove Mayor Daniels. Speaking of which, Mayor Daniels would love to meet you all, as he’s a human from a neighboring WORLD. This world, in fact is a world which has basically become united due to a weird event that crossed over both worlds. Crystal Cove is accessible by the Cybergate.

Go Go Power Rangers

It seems like Crystal Cove is a strange place. Powered by Morph X, the power of the Morphin Grid, the Power Rangers are willing to receive the Ultra Riders and the people of Alola who they open a portal to shortly into the month. It’s a time for rest, relaxation and recovery while they prepare to defend all of their worlds from Glomgold who has managed to get back to his world, and secret himself into the world’s darker recesses.

Alola’s Homefront

Alola needs help once more, and that’s finally recovery. Real fun recovery and that means actually recovery! With the help given, Overwatch’s more legitimate members have thrown in their lot with the locals and have begun clean up. Those who stayed home will supervise their fellow new cast offs, and the people who can return to their world through the Cybergate will be visiting to bring food, supplies and repair crews.

Command Centers

I.Z.U. has begun earnestly running the center of travel. You can find I.Z.U. in multiple places in a physical body, working the place of the missing Tony Stark. Talking to her will give you an understanding of the role of the Ultra Rider role.

Ben and Betty Helping

Helping Ben and Betty out with their chores will always lighten the mood. You need to help them. Helping them out will always give you something in return. Maybe something interesting, and then suddenly your face is full of pie. Tasty pie. But pie.

Other Duckburg Related Locations

There’s more places to see in the Ducktales World! Spoonerville! Cape Suzette! St. Canard! You might be able to convince Scrooge or one of his kids to take you into a quest.

Power Ranger Locations

You could totally visit some “tubular” places. Do kids say tubular anymore? There’s amazing places in California for the Power Rangers to visit. A lot of strange things, weird places, old villains who might be having pie...

Action Prompt!

Duckburg is full of action! Lasers, Danger, Aeroplanes! Think of something insane!

Action Prompt #2!

Power Rangers is also full of fighting! There’s a lot to fight.

A Lot. To Fight.

Take a Nap

Seriously. Take a nap. In fancy smancy McDuck Hotel. You earned it.

January Test Drive Meme!

Welcome to Alola

Whether you fell through an Ultra Hole or came through an Ultra Hole while chasing some strange creature, you’re now in the sunny islands of Alola. Things might look peaceful, but you might just be accosted by strange men in armor, looking to take you in. Or maybe you’ll run into other Fallers who are more than willing to give you a hand. Normally the islands would be more welcoming. But arriving here, you’re given a guide from one of the teachers from the school. Brock, Misty, May, Gary, or any of the major professors after your encounter with the previous people.

Unrest

Upon arriving at the Visitor’s Center, the various people willing to give you a hand has diminished a bit as many of them are trying to calm a populace angry that otherworlders are trying to dictate what they should do and how to treat their visitors. You’re still welcome to get your bearings straight here, but it might be just a little empty. It might be a little easier to prove your worth by showing the people you’re one of the good guys.

Break Down the World

3) Guzma, head of Team Skull has given a warning to anyone who has decided to cause trouble in the islands: prove your strength. To this end, Team Skull has created a barricade in several of the ports and major parts of the islands, and has flagrantly set up banners declaring their intent.

You want to start trouble? You answer to Team Skull.

Divine Research

4) It seems like not everyone is causing trouble. In fact, Acerola and Cynthia have called many researchers to their side to comb the texts that were left over from the ancient days about the different stories. Some of them are strange, conflicting. But perhaps you might be able to shed some light on the subject. Most curious is an odd journal that Kahuna Nanu had managed to conceal from the interlopers, half torn apart but is written by a man named “C”.

The Hunt for Team Rocket

5) Not every hero wears a cape. Some heroes wear a giant R on their chest.

Exiled from their home, Team Rocket is on the run. Looking for them might bring you in good graces for the people who want to see them home safely… but there’s also Team Rainbow Rocket members who are also on the watch for them, with dangerous Pokemon partners. Track them if you dare.

The Grand Trials!

6) Not everything is trouble - wanting to keep a semblance of normalcy, the Kahunas are still running trials, still giving prospective trainers a chance to earn a Z-Ring and a Z-Stone. Flintheart Glomgold dismissed the power of Z in favor of his strange armor; it’s time to prove him wrong and train to get one.

The Pilgrimage of Compassion

7) Despite everything, despite the danger, the aggression, the frustration of the land, life will go on. And all it takes is one single compassionate reminder. January hosts the Pilgrimage of Compassion when people walk up the slopes of Wela, and offer gifts to the land. To remember that not everyone is without hope. Compassion is hope, and without hope, nothing is forsaken, lost.

Ohana. Family, and hope, is ohana. Ohana means, no one is left behind. Or forgotten. It takes one little thing, and the Kahuna will lead the people on the walk from Akala Port to the top of Wela Shrine in this Pilgrimage.

January: Patch 2.0: A Song of Fire

Today, news has arrived internationally, not by Lusamine but by the World Government. Overwatch has issued a statement that has given the Pokemon World Governments pause. Due to the high risk of Interdimensional activity, plus the increased amount of Team Rainbow Rocket activity, they have requested that the Aether Foundation hand over all obtained Faller related and Ultra Hole Research, as well as the Arceus Plates. This in turn has angered the Sinnoh Officials, especially those higher up who revere Arceus as their god.

A conference has been called by the Leagues in Alola in two weeks, along with the Overwatch officials and their World Government Representatives, to discuss the repercussions of this statement. During this time, even more Fallers are appearing in Alola, and tensions are beginning to rise among the populace…

January 1st to January 12 - Mounting Tension

During this time, the Fallers have time to prepare for whatever may come. In Game, this means making plans for eventual rebellion, or quelling it. Working with the populace to quell their nervousness, working to incite trouble if they are so inclined, or perhaps, working to keep things under control. The choice is yours. You can do the right thing.

During this time, Guzma’s Team Skull will be a menace across the region for anyone who looks at them funny, Fallers or not. Troublemakers or no. If you want to cross them, for the good of the region, it’s a battle yo!

January 13 to January 15 - Champion Peace Talks

World Officials of both sides will arrive in the area, and will start their talks. At this time, Angela and her team will be officially recalled from their humanitarian work. Packing up their work, this might be the last time Angela will be seen in Alola, even though she really doesn’t want to go.

January 17 - Break Down

The representatives cannot come to a decision, and representative Glomgold has had enough. Employing the aid of Blackwatch, he sends a strike team to obtain all of the plates by force. This will be a timed IC mission, for the Fallers to repel. Events will happen within 1 night, but will events will be played over a series of days.

January 17th - Phoenix Song

The events of Break Down end in the appearance of the legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh. Why is he here? Well, you might need to find out for yourself…

January 25th - Passing Through

When all seems lost, Aether Foundation has been swept away into another world, Lusamine has been lost as well. Fallers… are you ready to Ride with the Devil? Because your guide… is just Passing on Through.

December has arrived! And it's a festive, very festive time for the people of Alola. You'll find that many local businesses are doing well this time of year as there's brilliant lights being strung up, in preparation of people, both tourists and people. The doors are open, the Christmas Spirit is in the air, and Delibirds have arrived to start taking letters to Santa! Mallow in particular has been a chief advocate of getting your letters into Santa, as this is the second Christmas Vacation coming up for the Fallers, and soon you'll be off school for Christmas Break which starts on the 18th.

You'll have lots to do, but soon, there'll be a aura of business as Christmas begins to loom closer and closer, as a sense of urgency starts pushing forward as the Delibirds seem more and more urgent...

A. Arrival

Another wave of Ultra Holes have opened up over the Island, alarms have appeared and the Ultra Guardians as well as Bewear has come into play. This time, the Fallers have been asked to intercept the literally Falling people who are coming out of the holes and brief them and bring them to the Pokemon Center, ie Immigration to get checked in. Wicke is there to answer questions but a few volunteers may be there as well. The experienced Fallers can get you up to speed.

B. The Alola Community Visitors Plaza

A venue usually for tourists, new Fallers are given a chance to see the main tourist area for Alola, in order to orient and familiarize themselves with the nature of Alola and Pokemon in general. A far cry from the disorganized mob that was originally there, this time, there are people set up in the stands, ready to receive tourists and Fallers alike. Pamphlets, interviews with locals and tour guides, Ride Pokemon to take you around the island, and various other places are available. Please look around, the choice is yours. This month it is decorated for the Festival of Lights, aka Christmas.

C. The Hau’oli City Markets

This is where the marketplace stands, full of fresh fruit and food. Those who are hungry can be treated to a delicious taste of Alola. Not once, not twice, but more times than they can imagine. Your coin is good here, even if it’s alien in nature. Even if you don’t have coin, you’ll be fine. Ohana. No one is left behind or forgotten. We’re not about to let people go hungry in this world. Nature’s bounty is for everyone, humans and Pokemon alike. There’s no need to steal, just ask the marketplace for some food if you are very hungry. Even if you’re shy, Miss Anela will offer you a snack. There's a lot of holiday treats.

D. Job Board

Odd Jobs have been posted here right now, thanks to the efforts of the people who have decided to help the Fallers out, and it’s also a help wanted board for those who want to earn some coin in the middle of the week before the beginning of the school year. Tasks such as bucking crates of Juice off a truck, to doing some simple paperwork in an office for a few days, and even tending Pokemon in a farm on Akala Island. The choice is yours. Get out and explore. There's a lot of decorating jobs right now.

E. Exploring the entire island chain

If you wish to explore Melemele, it is a big island, and there is plenty to see. There are Forests, Honey Fields, Hot Springs, Beaches, and many other places. Melemele boasts one of the biggest cities Hau’oli City, and is the capital of Alola. Here, up at the top of a large plateau is the challenge area where Hala offers the Grand Trial. The caves are full of Pokemon, and your Pokemon are eager to prove themselves in a Trial. There's plenty to see now, with Akala island, Ula'ula Island and Poni Islands also opened up for tourism.

F. Grand Trials

The Four Kahuna are accepting challengers once more. Those who wish to participate in the sacred trials are allowed to participate in the Grand Trials once more, to earn the right of the Z. With the goals in mind, you may undertake a Trial to earn a Z-Crystal first, and then take on a Grand Trial for a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal. The choice is yours which to tackle first.

G. Festival of Lights

There's actually two Festival of Lights this time around! The Boat Festival where there will be several boats on the water displaying gorgeous lights which shine on the water, and the festival where the land shines with twinkling lights on the seventh. The first is on the 13th. There seems to be a wonderful time coming up.

H. Melemele General Hospital

Even Angela is working extra hard to make sure everyone's prepared for the winter, and that makes time for checkups, and other such things. If you've got the sniffles, this one is for you. But also, come chat with Angela, and meet some of the more colorful visitors from Overwatch Earth.

I. Aether Labs

Come review the brand new information that makes the Ultra Guardians go on the offensive. Which means, Aether Labs is open to the science community! The scientific community heads can now access the labs, and the resources within. Under the guidance of Wicke, Faba and, Burnet, you're allowed access to Aether's resources to build and invent and upgrade and repair your own equipment.

J. Alolan Steel Guitar Festival

Come listen to the native music of the people, leading into the city. You can listen, try out one of the steel guitars, dance, the choice is yours! Your world is yours to explore!

K. Lighting of the Banyan Tree

In the middle of the city there's a massive tree being erected. This is the Banyan Tree, and on the seventh during the Festival of Lights, it will be lit up! Come check it out!

The last week of October into November has come and Halloween has come! With the Haunted House come up, strangely clean, too clean, INTERPOL has decided to leave it open for now while it is under surveilance. However, there has been more movement on the Ultra Guardians side as more information has continued to flow. It seems that there has been a push to discover Plates, that have been discovered in different Regions.

Now with November starting into December, the weather of Alola's daytime, average high temperatures typically range in the mid to low 80s. Evening temperatures usually dip into the upper 60s to lower 70s. Per weather records, November rainfall levels in Alola are higher than average. The ocean temperatures around Hawaii are pleasant enough for swimming which is still very pleasant. However, there's also winter-time adventures as Mount Lanakila also is opening it's Ski and Hot Springs Resort. That greedy Viren has opened up one on the mountain, and while he doesn't like you, he's inviting you all for a trip on the first of November. Which is good, because it eliminates the need for housing for your School Field Trip from the first to the seventh.

For the end of the month, it is now decorated for Halloween.

This time however, it is now serving Halloween themed treats and pumpkin treats as well.

There's also now halloween themed decorating jobs and pumpkin harvesting related things.

E. Exploring Melemele

You can also check out Ula'ula's Ghost Town if you want, the ferry is open this time, and Acerola will show you around her library.

G. Pokemon School Trip

The School Trip to Mount Lanakila might come as a surprise, but there is a big, snowy mountain on Alola! Bundle up for winter time activities and hot spring shenanigans because there's plenty of both! Relax in the hot springs as snow falls gently around your body, play in the snow in the day, view amazing Snow Pokemon, explore the incredible Ice Caverns, and perhaps participate in the PokeJump Competitions which is a long-jump sledding competition with your Pokemon.

J. Unovan Togetherness Day

Every November, the people of Unova celebrate a day where they come together together after a long harvest year, and feast with family and friends. Fallers might recognize this as Thanksgiving, but the connotation of thanking the Pokemon is strong in this world, as they came first in this world, and the people of Alola celebrate their families and their friends and their precious partners.

K. Ryme City Anniversary

In the middle of the month of November, there is the Ryme City Anniversary. A week leading up to a parade with floats and celebrations. The Fallers are invited to Ryme City and will be preparing for their first international trip. Pack your bags, we're going on an Educational Field Trip!

Late October/Early November Test Drive Meme!

It's late October. After the Team Rainbow Rocket attack, life has slowly come back to normal. The people have relaxed for the most part, but there's a sense of unease knowing that Alola was under attack from Team Rainbow Rocket. But the people of Alola are grateful for the Ultra Guardians and have redoubled their efforts to accept the Fallers and help them with whatever there needs to be. To this end, a new doctor has been instated in Alola General, the first to have come willingly through the Ultra Holes. A relief worker from another Earth named Dr. Angela Mercy. She'll take care of your needs.

Oh also, Acerola has begun campaigning for the local spooky day of Halloween, as the Ghost Pokemon have seemingly multiplied on Alola! With more and more spirits, Greedy Rapooh, her main Pokemon, has started showing up everywhere on the island to make a fuss along with a ton of Ghost Pokemon to make mischief! Still, life goes on in Alola, and on the 31st, the island will be decorated for treats, and a small mini-festival for the day as people celebrate the ghost pokemon.

G. Acerola's Library/The Ghost Town

Home of Acerola's Library, Greedy Rapooh's tombstone and graveyard and the Grand Trial of Ula'ula, this spooky little town is a historical site and a place of history. You can find amazing things in this place, and it connects to the Desert. Yes, a literal desert where you can travel to an Oasis and meet the Tapu of the location. There's also a fantasticly high amount of Alolan Meowth here as well. It's a Dark Type paradise.

H. Melemele General Hospital

After the battle and maybe just for a checkup, all Fallers and everyone else would be introduced to a new unique Doctor that has arrived. Apparently, on her side, these Ultra Holes have been opening up on a regular basis where she has been stationed, so she was sent through. Deciding her best option was to set up as a Doctor, Dr. Angela Mercy is now the Fallers Primary Physician. While her healing is both traditional and literally near-magical nanotech healing, and she can revive you or your Pokemon from a near-KO state, she prefers not to be on the front lines unless truly required. But as a member of the relief team from another Earth, she vows to help everyone with their troubles. You can talk to Angela any time you need, even just for a visit.

I. Aether Labs

Now that there's new critical data brought in by Courtney's spies into Team Rainbow Rocket, the Ultra Guardians can go on the offensive. Which means, Aether Labs is open to the science community! The scientific community heads can now access the labs, and the resources within. Under the guidance of Wicke, Faba and, Burnet, you're allowed access to Aether's resources to build and invent and upgrade and repair your own equipment.

To further help Fallers display their Pokemon Teams, there are numerous online team making engines online. One of the more recommended ones that can be updated is The Pokemon Team Planner to form a rudimentary team layout for your Pokemon to add to your profile.

The overall Pokedex is available for several trainers to obtain, and profiles can be viewed as a sample below.
