Late September/Early October Test Drive Meme!

Fall has come! With September in full swing, the Harvest Festival done and over, the rest of the month has begun and moving into October, the rest of the month is settling in. Pumpkins are coming into full ripeness on Poni Island and Akala Island, and there is much to do. The Music Festival is coming still and there's plenty more to see. Pokemon School's first major school event is coming up and there will be more things to do. And as always, more Fallers are appearing in and around the city.

A. Arrival

Another wave of Ultra Holes have opened up over the Island, alarms have appeared and the Ultra Guardians as well as Bewear has come into play. This time, the Fallers have been asked to intercept the literally Falling people who are coming out of the holes and brief them and bring them to the Pokemon Center, ie Immigration to get checked in. Wicke is there to answer questions but a few volunteers may be there as well. The experienced Fallers can get you up to speed.

B. The Alola Community Visitors Plaza

A venue usually for tourists, new Fallers are given a chance to see the main tourist area for Alola, in order to orient and familiarize themselves with the nature of Alola and Pokemon in general. A far cry from the disorganized mob that was originally there, this time, there are people set up in the stands, ready to receive tourists and Fallers alike. Pamphlets, interviews with locals and tour guides, Ride Pokemon to take you around the island, and various other places are available. Please look around, the choice is yours.

C. The Hau’oli City Markets

This is where the marketplace stands, full of fresh fruit and food. Those who are hungry can be treated to a delicious taste of Alola. Not once, not twice, but more times than they can imagine. Your coin is good here, even if it’s alien in nature. Even if you don’t have coin, you’ll be fine. Ohana. No one is left behind or forgotten. We’re not about to let people go hungry in this world. Nature’s bounty is for everyone, humans and Pokemon alike. There’s no need to steal, just ask the marketplace for some food if you are very hungry. Even if you’re shy, Miss Anela will offer you a snack.

D. Job Board

Odd Jobs have been posted here right now, thanks to the efforts of the people who have decided to help the Fallers out, and it’s also a help wanted board for those who want to earn some coin in the middle of the week before the beginning of the school year. Tasks such as bucking crates of Juice off a truck, to doing some simple paperwork in an office for a few days, and even tending Pokemon in a farm on Akala Island. The choice is yours. Get out and explore.

E. Exploring Melemele

If you wish to explore Melemele, it is a big island, and there is plenty to see. There are Forests, Honey Fields, Hot Springs, Beaches, and many other places. Melemele boasts one of the biggest cities Hau’oli City, and is the capital of Alola. Here, up at the top of a large plateau is the challenge area where Hala offers the Grand Trial. The caves are full of Pokemon, and your Pokemon are eager to prove themselves in a Trial.

F. Grand Trials

The Four Kahuna are accepting challengers once more. Those who wish to participate in the sacred trials are allowed to participate in the Grand Trials once more, to earn the right of the Z. With the goals in mind, you may undertake a Trial to earn a Z-Crystal first, and then take on a Grand Trial for a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal. The choice is yours which to tackle first.

G. The Music Festival

Musicians from all over the world are coming to Ula'ula in order to play music, and you're invited! You can play music, watch the people enjoy the sights, it's a wonderful festival for all. This week-long festival lasts for a good solid while, and there's various musicians from all over the world coming to this place. Please, soak in the musical styling of all of the international musical bands of the world.

There's a huff from Gwen as she's caught, more from impact than indignation. Trust her, she is not upset someone caught her and kept her from getting hurt. She'll heal from it, sure. But getting hurt sucks in general. She likes avoiding injuries.

It's the who that has her surprised. That same buzz that Peter's feeling is coursing through Gwen's head and she's just. Surprised. Into silence. She takes a moment to stare at the guy in the spider suit, blue eyes wide as she's set down and she takes a quick step back, more spider grace than dancer's grace. She's in her own spider-suit, albeit the coloring vastly different, and somehow that makes this situation a lot less weird than it could be.

Not to mention? She's already been here before.

"I'm fine." She finally speaks after a stunned pause, nodding some and then smiling a bit. Running her fingers through her hair, she spares a moment to miss Miles before speaking again.

"Thanks. Just got it done."

With that, she extends her hand as she introduces herself. May as well, right?

"Gwen Stacy."

He recognizes a superhero suit when he sees one but right now he's on patrol and he can't really just give out his real name like that. He takes her hand gently, still confused as to what that buzzing is but maybe...

"Uh, Spider-Man. Glad you weren't hurt. Usually the Ultra Hole's don't uh... appear that high up. Coulda been a nasty fall. Even I'd be a flat Spider after that one." He says casually.

"Anyways, you seem pretty calm about the fact you just fell through space and time so we're gonna save some time with unpacking that big ole case by just tossing it out the window. This is uh Alola-it's a region in this universe and if you talk to Officer Jenny or any of the Gaurdian's they'll get you set up for your time here and get you into a house and stuff. Until they can. Figure out how to send us all home."

"So, whose idea was it to put the Ultra Hole up there? Not that I wouldn't recover eventually from the fall? But it won't feel good and I'm not big on pain." Gwen asks as she shakes his hand in return, glancing up at the hole and spotting a few Pokemon flying above.

Give her one second, she's staring upwards at the Pokemon in shock, again stunned into silence. She doesn't much care for being stunned into silence, so her nose wrinkles in confusion and mild irritation.

"I feel like the Multiverse put me into my brothers DS."

And it doesn't help that Spider-Man mentioned Officer Jenny. Not one bit. She looks at him again, finally picking up what he's saying. And it's going to register in a minute that he has a Spinarak, Gwen watching the creature with amusement.

"Okay, this is kinda cool."

Peter laughs a little at that with a nod. He knows the feeling and he too, is not big on pain. But she's familiar with the multiverse, that makes this a thousand times easier.

"Yeah, I ended up hear like two months ago-it's been pretty fun so far. Oh.." He sees where her eyes go and moves to lift Shelob off his arm over to his shoulder so she can climb onto it and he can hold her out.

"This is my partner Shelob. She's been an awesome help on my patrols. As for the Ultra Holes, no one really knows when or where they're gonna form."

"Uh huh..." Still eyeing the whole setting now, to be honest. Kinda turning some on the spot as she looks around. And then she hears the Pokemon's name.

"Shelob. You named her after the monster spider from the Lord of the Rings books?"

That's kind of nerdy, but also kind of impressive.

Excitement spreads faster than Peter can stop it because she knew! She knew where the name came from! Other than Mr Stark, who criticized his naming choices, she was the first one!

"Yup. Sure did. She likes the name, don't you Shelob?" Peter asks her.

"Spina!" Shelob responds with a happy nod before holding out one of her front lets in a way that's vaguely like handshake.

Oh, no. That's too cute. Gwen is completely enamored with Shelob so she absolutely reaches over to shake he...er...leg? She has no clue. But she's gentle, letting Shelob dictate how this works.

"That's too cool. That's my favorite book series. I read it several times a year."

"Spinarak!" Shelob gently wiggles her leg in a makeshift handshake.

"Aw, I think she likes you." He offers with a smile behind the mask. "Oh yeah? It's one of my favorites-I think Harry Potter still beats it though." He says matter-of-factly.

"Well, are you gonna be okay to find the police station or would you like me to take you there?"
