Late September/Early October Test Drive Meme!

Fall has come! With September in full swing, the Harvest Festival done and over, the rest of the month has begun and moving into October, the rest of the month is settling in. Pumpkins are coming into full ripeness on Poni Island and Akala Island, and there is much to do. The Music Festival is coming still and there's plenty more to see. Pokemon School's first major school event is coming up and there will be more things to do. And as always, more Fallers are appearing in and around the city.

A. Arrival

Another wave of Ultra Holes have opened up over the Island, alarms have appeared and the Ultra Guardians as well as Bewear has come into play. This time, the Fallers have been asked to intercept the literally Falling people who are coming out of the holes and brief them and bring them to the Pokemon Center, ie Immigration to get checked in. Wicke is there to answer questions but a few volunteers may be there as well. The experienced Fallers can get you up to speed.

B. The Alola Community Visitors Plaza

A venue usually for tourists, new Fallers are given a chance to see the main tourist area for Alola, in order to orient and familiarize themselves with the nature of Alola and Pokemon in general. A far cry from the disorganized mob that was originally there, this time, there are people set up in the stands, ready to receive tourists and Fallers alike. Pamphlets, interviews with locals and tour guides, Ride Pokemon to take you around the island, and various other places are available. Please look around, the choice is yours.

C. The Hau’oli City Markets

This is where the marketplace stands, full of fresh fruit and food. Those who are hungry can be treated to a delicious taste of Alola. Not once, not twice, but more times than they can imagine. Your coin is good here, even if it’s alien in nature. Even if you don’t have coin, you’ll be fine. Ohana. No one is left behind or forgotten. We’re not about to let people go hungry in this world. Nature’s bounty is for everyone, humans and Pokemon alike. There’s no need to steal, just ask the marketplace for some food if you are very hungry. Even if you’re shy, Miss Anela will offer you a snack.

D. Job Board

Odd Jobs have been posted here right now, thanks to the efforts of the people who have decided to help the Fallers out, and it’s also a help wanted board for those who want to earn some coin in the middle of the week before the beginning of the school year. Tasks such as bucking crates of Juice off a truck, to doing some simple paperwork in an office for a few days, and even tending Pokemon in a farm on Akala Island. The choice is yours. Get out and explore.

E. Exploring Melemele

If you wish to explore Melemele, it is a big island, and there is plenty to see. There are Forests, Honey Fields, Hot Springs, Beaches, and many other places. Melemele boasts one of the biggest cities Hau’oli City, and is the capital of Alola. Here, up at the top of a large plateau is the challenge area where Hala offers the Grand Trial. The caves are full of Pokemon, and your Pokemon are eager to prove themselves in a Trial.

F. Grand Trials

The Four Kahuna are accepting challengers once more. Those who wish to participate in the sacred trials are allowed to participate in the Grand Trials once more, to earn the right of the Z. With the goals in mind, you may undertake a Trial to earn a Z-Crystal first, and then take on a Grand Trial for a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal. The choice is yours which to tackle first.

G. The Music Festival

Musicians from all over the world are coming to Ula'ula in order to play music, and you're invited! You can play music, watch the people enjoy the sights, it's a wonderful festival for all. This week-long festival lasts for a good solid while, and there's various musicians from all over the world coming to this place. Please, soak in the musical styling of all of the international musical bands of the world.

[A: Arrival - For Peter Parker.]

It wasn't like Gwen was a stranger to falling through the multiverse. No, she'd been there. Done that. Got the cellular degeneration for her trouble, thanks. She just wasn't a fan of falling in general. And while this wasn't a dangerous distance to fall?

It was still pretty fall. And she hated it. A lot. She had her webshooters, sure! But there was nowhere to actually fire them off to just yet. And wasn't that some bullshit? Sure, she had her webshooters, and her Spider-Suit (with the mask down because of course it is), but what good was any of it at the moment if 1: she had no idea where the multiverse put her this time and 2: there was nothing for her to latch her webbing onto?!

Thankfully, someone saw her situation and was quick enough to catch the girl before anything really awful happened. Otherwise? This would just really suck.

[D: Job Board - OTA]

Finding a job couldn't be too hard, right? The job board was full of them. But Gwen was being a little bit picky. Was there anything for a drummer? Dancer? Even a graffiti artist. She'd take that in a heartbeat. Looking through the listings and writing down information in a notebook she'd obtained, Gwen had just a few possible leads.

Just a few.

In a second column, she had more. Less leaning towards her interests and more odd jobs she can do with her heightened strength, but those were last resorts. If anyone else has any ideas, she's all ears.

A) Arrival

"No... no... nononononono!" While many of the recent arrivals have been human, this one's a little more odd. This one's... a Duck. And she's panicking. Badly.

"Open up! Open up, please! Don't do this to me, please!" the duck pleads to thin air. "You stupid portal, open up and send me back hoooooooome!"

"Fetch'd." And there's a slightly concerned Farfetch'd following behind.

"No, no, you're right. I've gotten out of one situation before, I can do it again." the duck said. "Hopefully this won't take ten years and my kids won't be adults..." And she groans as she flops onto the sand.

B) Community Visitors Plaza

Brochures. Brochures everywhere. Della's a little more adjusted than before, but seeing all of these brochures is driving her a little batty. After awhile, she sighs, then dumps all of the brochures on top of the nearest person.

"Here, you read 'em. I'll find out stuff on my own!"

D) Exploring Melemele

Exploring! That means adventure! And adventure runs through the Duck-McDuck veins! And as much as Della is missing her kids, adventuring is calling to her...

...as is the aggravation of everyone trying to capture her as some sort of weird Pokemon.

"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT?! I'M NOT A POKING-WHOS-IT!" Della yelled out as she chased off a few Trainers, the anger of the Duck-McDuck clan running through her veins now. "AAAAAAAARGH!"

Nearly falling into the ocean had been surprising, but at this point Mob was over it. From what the nice lady in the white suit told him, it was something that had happened to a lot of people beforehand, and everyone had been trying to make him feel comfortable here, so he assumed there wasn't anything to worry about. Mob knew what evil parallel worlds felt like, and Alola wasn't it. Maybe it was just in a different part of the planet, like the Bermuda Triangle (man, now he wished he studied geography a little closer).

For now, Mob was sitting on a bench in the plaza, quietly reading over a tourism brochure that was advertising a bunch of restaurants and other treats. It was making him kind of hungry. "Mm...what's a malasada?" He wondered aloud. The picture made it look tasty.

[D. Job Board]

Mob knew he should probably get some clothes that better suited the weather here, but first he needed money for that, so it was time to try and find some work. However, given the only other "job" he had was basically an after-school charity case that paid in pocket change and ramen, his understanding of money left a lot to be desired.

"Eh? 600 for only an hour of work?! Are they allowed to do that...?" His eyes widened in surprise, Mob turned to the nearest person for confirmation that giving away that much money just for moving some oranges onto a truck was ok.

B) The Alola Community Visitors Plaza

After saving the multiverse ~~again~~, Nozomi's sudden arrival in Alola is probably what she needed. It's a beach. With Pokemon. She's certain Mako would love to know about stuff in Alola. ~~Maybe she should call her now?~~ Either way, Nozomi's busy picking up various packets and treating this place like she's been here before.

Of course, that means she's up to her twintails in packets.

"A little help here? I think I saw something about a Ride Pokemon or something...?"

D) Job Board

Nozomi can't believe she's doing this, but she kinda needs a job. She highly doubts this place handles all the old Gil and Pieces from the other worlds and she's certain she traded in all of her Pokebucks. But, everything looks so rough...

"Uuugh, there's gotta be something easy here!" she groaned. She turned her head and motioned towards a person. "Hey, c'mere. You see something that looks easy to do?"

E) Exploring Melemele

"Go Tepig!" Nozomi happily tossed out her Pokeball as she faced down a fellow Trainer. It seemed that the Trainer was in awe that this Faller was also a Trainer before arriving, so they had to know how they fought. Just one problem.

The Tepig was a little miffed at Nozomi.

"I know, I know, I forgot your name again. I'm sorry. If I had you longer, I'd remember it better. Forgive me?" Nozomi said. The pig nodded a bit before getting ready to fight.
