Late October/Early November Test Drive Meme!

It's late October. After the Team Rainbow Rocket attack, life has slowly come back to normal. The people have relaxed for the most part, but there's a sense of unease knowing that Alola was under attack from Team Rainbow Rocket. But the people of Alola are grateful for the Ultra Guardians and have redoubled their efforts to accept the Fallers and help them with whatever there needs to be. To this end, a new doctor has been instated in Alola General, the first to have come willingly through the Ultra Holes. A relief worker from another Earth named Dr. Angela Mercy. She'll take care of your needs.

Oh also, Acerola has begun campaigning for the local spooky day of Halloween, as the Ghost Pokemon have seemingly multiplied on Alola! With more and more spirits, Greedy Rapooh, her main Pokemon, has started showing up everywhere on the island to make a fuss along with a ton of Ghost Pokemon to make mischief! Still, life goes on in Alola, and on the 31st, the island will be decorated for treats, and a small mini-festival for the day as people celebrate the ghost pokemon.

A. Arrival

Another wave of Ultra Holes have opened up over the Island, alarms have appeared and the Ultra Guardians as well as Bewear has come into play. This time, the Fallers have been asked to intercept the literally Falling people who are coming out of the holes and brief them and bring them to the Pokemon Center, ie Immigration to get checked in. Wicke is there to answer questions but a few volunteers may be there as well. The experienced Fallers can get you up to speed.

B. The Alola Community Visitors Plaza

A venue usually for tourists, new Fallers are given a chance to see the main tourist area for Alola, in order to orient and familiarize themselves with the nature of Alola and Pokemon in general. A far cry from the disorganized mob that was originally there, this time, there are people set up in the stands, ready to receive tourists and Fallers alike. Pamphlets, interviews with locals and tour guides, Ride Pokemon to take you around the island, and various other places are available. Please look around, the choice is yours. For the end of the month, it is now decorated for Halloween.

C. The Hau’oli City Markets

This is where the marketplace stands, full of fresh fruit and food. Those who are hungry can be treated to a delicious taste of Alola. Not once, not twice, but more times than they can imagine. Your coin is good here, even if it’s alien in nature. Even if you don’t have coin, you’ll be fine. Ohana. No one is left behind or forgotten. We’re not about to let people go hungry in this world. Nature’s bounty is for everyone, humans and Pokemon alike. There’s no need to steal, just ask the marketplace for some food if you are very hungry. Even if you’re shy, Miss Anela will offer you a snack. This time however, it is now serving Halloween themed treats and pumpkin treats as well.

D. Job Board

Odd Jobs have been posted here right now, thanks to the efforts of the people who have decided to help the Fallers out, and it’s also a help wanted board for those who want to earn some coin in the middle of the week before the beginning of the school year. Tasks such as bucking crates of Juice off a truck, to doing some simple paperwork in an office for a few days, and even tending Pokemon in a farm on Akala Island. The choice is yours. Get out and explore. There's also now halloween themed decorating jobs and pumpkin harvesting related things.

E. Exploring Melemele

If you wish to explore Melemele, it is a big island, and there is plenty to see. There are Forests, Honey Fields, Hot Springs, Beaches, and many other places. Melemele boasts one of the biggest cities Hau’oli City, and is the capital of Alola. Here, up at the top of a large plateau is the challenge area where Hala offers the Grand Trial. The caves are full of Pokemon, and your Pokemon are eager to prove themselves in a Trial. You can also check out Ula'ula's Ghost Town if you want, the ferry is open this time, and Acerola will show you around her library.

F. Grand Trials

The Four Kahuna are accepting challengers once more. Those who wish to participate in the sacred trials are allowed to participate in the Grand Trials once more, to earn the right of the Z. With the goals in mind, you may undertake a Trial to earn a Z-Crystal first, and then take on a Grand Trial for a Z-Ring and a Z-Crystal. The choice is yours which to tackle first.

G. Acerola's Library/The Ghost Town

Home of Acerola's Library, Greedy Rapooh's tombstone and graveyard and the Grand Trial of Ula'ula, this spooky little town is a historical site and a place of history. You can find amazing things in this place, and it connects to the Desert. Yes, a literal desert where you can travel to an Oasis and meet the Tapu of the location. There's also a fantasticly high amount of Alolan Meowth here as well. It's a Dark Type paradise.

H. Melemele General Hospital

After the battle and maybe just for a checkup, all Fallers and everyone else would be introduced to a new unique Doctor that has arrived. Apparently, on her side, these Ultra Holes have been opening up on a regular basis where she has been stationed, so she was sent through. Deciding her best option was to set up as a Doctor, Dr. Angela Mercy is now the Fallers Primary Physician. While her healing is both traditional and literally near-magical nanotech healing, and she can revive you or your Pokemon from a near-KO state, she prefers not to be on the front lines unless truly required. But as a member of the relief team from another Earth, she vows to help everyone with their troubles. You can talk to Angela any time you need, even just for a visit.

I. Aether Labs

Now that there's new critical data brought in by Courtney's spies into Team Rainbow Rocket, the Ultra Guardians can go on the offensive. Which means, Aether Labs is open to the science community! The scientific community heads can now access the labs, and the resources within. Under the guidance of Wicke, Faba and, Burnet, you're allowed access to Aether's resources to build and invent and upgrade and repair your own equipment.

By that time, Ash was crouched near Raltz, grinning. "So cool! It's been a while since I saw Raltz! Hi there!"

[Lucan waves at Ash; hello to you too.]

Lucan? Oh, hello there.

"Alola!" Exclaimed Ash happily. "This is your Ralts right? They're really well cared for!"

"Pi pikachu!" Exclaimed Pikachu happily as he waved at Bedivere as well.

[Bedivere's expression is light, smile soft as he raises his lone arm in a small wave back to Pikachu and Ash.]

That is correct; Lucan is my companion. I take it that this one...

[He has to think a little. While he had taken the time to read up and learn about the world around him there were still things he had to work on.]

... Your... Pikachu? They are yours?

Pi pika! [Pikachu scampered up and leaped from Ash's shoulder to Bedivere's with glee, giving off a cheerful squeak.]

Yeah, Pikachu and I have been together for years now. We started off in Pallet Town together in Kanto. Now we're here. We've been best buds forever.

[Bedivere is a little surprised at Pikachu suddenly jumping to his shoulder but it doesn't last. He smiles at the electric Pokemon while listening to Ash's explanation.]

Is that so? How wonderful.

[Lucan's look of excitement at the mention of malasada and the pleading look accompanying it cemented the decision. Malasada it was.]

And sure, and no need for formality or nothing. It's just Ash and Pikachu here! [Exclaimed Ash cheerfully.]

C'mon it's this way!

[The Malasada shop was down the street and even down the road, one could smell the scent of fried dough and sweet and spicy filling from outside.]

I never had these until I came to Alola, [said Ash, opening the door.] They're real good.

Oh, Alola Champion Ash! Did you come for the usual? [asked the Shopkeep.]

Alola! [replied Ash.] What'd I say about Champion this and that? It's just Ash! I've brought a friend!

[Champion? And now he has name to put to the face.]

Ah, good day to you.

[Meanwhile, Lucan peeked his head out from behind Bedivere's leg and tilted his head back to take in the smells.]

Any friend of Ash is a friend to me. Come on in, get a seat. I'll bring out a menu. [replied the shopkeep]

[Ash grinned as he gestured towards the table as he said,] The Malasada here are great! I never tried them. There's sweet and there's sour, and all there's all kinds of flavors. Pikachu likes the savory ones.

[So many different varieties. Then again, there seemed to be a lot of that here in Alola.]

I'm looking forward to it. And I am certain Lucan is too. [There's a vigorous nod from the Psychic type Pokemon.]

So, your name is Ash?

Yeah! I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town. I won the Championship for the Alola League last year. So everyone calls me Champion even though I ask them not too. It's embarrassing. [He said with a embarrassed grin.]

[Oh, so that was why.]

Is that so? But if you were able to win then you must be very skilled. There's no shame in taking pride in that fact.

Ah, forgive me. I know your name but you do not know mine. I am Bedivere.

It was quite the challenge. To be honest, I was really surprised that I won. All my hard work over the years finally paying off? It's a real shock.

[And he opens the menu up, laying it flat and moving it over so Lucan browse as well. There were sweet, spicy, sour, bitter, and dry malasada. Lucan immediately patted on the sweet malasada while Bedivere had to think on his choice a little bit longer.]

I think I shall give the spicy malasada a try then.
