Late August/Early September 2019 Test Drive Meme

After the Dynamax Raid Battle, the Islands are Busier than Ever. There's more things to do, School is beginning, and people are starting to work into fall. The Music Festival is upon them in a few days, and there is a Harvest Festival in the early part of September, there is much to do and prepare for. But there is many things to do, with the Pokemon School opening up. And there is much for you Fallers to prepare for, as a new wave of Fallers arrive on the islands!
A. Arrival
Another wave of Ultra Holes have opened up over the Island, alarms have appeared and the Ultra Guardians as well as Bewear has come into play. This time, the Fallers have been asked to intercept the literally Falling people who are coming out of the holes and brief them and bring them to the Pokemon Center, ie Immigration to get checked in. Wicke is there to answer questions but a few volunteers may be there as well. The experienced Fallers can get you up to speed.
B. The Alola Community Visitors Plaza
A venue usually for tourists, new Fallers are given a chance to see the main tourist area for Alola, in order to orient and familiarize themselves with the nature of Alola and Pokemon in general. A far cry from the disorganized mob that was originally there, this time, there are people set up in the stands, ready to receive tourists and Fallers alike. Pamphlets, interviews with locals and tour guides, Ride Pokemon to take you around the island, and various other places are available. Please look around, the choice is yours.
C. The Hau’oli City Markets
This is where the marketplace stands, full of fresh fruit and food. Those who are hungry can be treated to a delicious taste of Alola. Not once, not twice, but more times than they can imagine. Your coin is good here, even if it’s alien in nature. Even if you don’t have coin, you’ll be fine. Ohana. No one is left behind or forgotten. We’re not about to let people go hungry in this world. Nature’s bounty is for everyone, humans and Pokemon alike. There’s no need to steal, just ask the marketplace for some food if you are very hungry. Even if you’re shy, Miss Anela will offer you a snack.
D. Job Board
Odd Jobs have been posted here right now, thanks to the efforts of the people who have decided to help the Fallers out, and it’s also a help wanted board for those who want to earn some coin in the middle of the week before the beginning of the school year. Tasks such as bucking crates of Juice off a truck, to doing some simple paperwork in an office for a few days, and even tending Pokemon in a farm on Akala Island. The choice is yours. Get out and explore.
E. Exploring Melemele
If you wish to explore Melemele, it is a big island, and there is plenty to see. There are Forests, Honey Fields, Hot Springs, Beaches, and many other places. Melemele boasts one of the biggest cities Hau’oli City, and is the capital of Alola. Here, up at the top of a large plateau is the challenge area where Hala offers the Grand Trial. The caves are full of Pokemon, and your Pokemon are eager to prove themselves in a Trial.
F. Pokemon School
The Pokemon School has begun to open its doors, and the school is opened up officially. Early enrollment has begun, and you can prepare to start studying. Also, Professor Burnet may be looking for people to start assisting in the research for Pokemon. This time, Enrollment has begun and you may enter your name, age, and grade and tour the school. Students such as Mallow, Lana, Kiawe and others are here to give you a tour of the school, and the Adult Learning Classes are upon us as well. Researchers from all over the world are coming to set up base in the Pokemon School as well, to study the Ultra Hole Phenomenons.
G. Harvest Festival Preparations
The fields of Melemele, Akala Island, Ula'Ula and Poni are bursting with produce and it's in need of help this year. Succulent fruits, delicious vegetables, spicy radishes, all of it is in need of harvest. The Kahunas ask for your aid in picking the fruits, and helping out with your Pokemon and help. There is several things to do this year, and much to do it in, with the blessings of the festival to be held on Poni Island this year.
H. The Music Festival
Musicians from all over the world are coming to Ula'ula in order to play music, and you're invited! You can play music, watch the people enjoy the sights, it's a wonderful festival for all. This week-long festival lasts for a good solid while, and there's various musicians from all over the world coming to this place. Please, soak in the musical styling of all of the international musical bands of the world.
I. Wildcard
If you haven’t found a prompt that suits you, make it up!
I'm sorry he completely misunderstood the whole situation
Left hand still in his pocket as usual, the right went to join it; judging by the wince, he was trying to pinch himself, none-too-subtly.
He might've defaulted back to thinking this was a really, really weird dream.
And was that--that was Ash's voice, wasn't it? He blinked, several times fast, at hearing that voice call his name, then decided no, this was definitely an illusion, some weird composite of memories those Ultra Beasts strung together!
He glared, quickly pulled out a pokeball, and threw it. "Frillish, bind that imposter! After that, use Night Shade!"
If he didn't have any Pokemon to break the illusion, he could just as well try and lock whatever-it-was in some nightmarish illusion right back, right?! That was the plan, but Frillish had only just emerged, pausing to listen to orders—think fast on how to clear things up before it turns into a completely unnecessary fight! (Or, you know, neutralize it first, that works too).
oh boy here we go!
> PKMN
> Item
> RUN
"Ash, look out!" Exclaimed Rotom-dex, at the command that Trip was giving.
Oh boy here we go again.
Having no spoons for this sort of nonsense, and considering Ash was operating on a hair trigger in Alola, his response was
> Z-Move
"THIS IS OUR FULL POWER!" Exclaimed Ash, going through the moves which Pikachu gave him a "WAIT WHAT?!" Expression.
Don't make this go downhill Ash, your hair trigger is off the chain as Pikachu exclaimed, "pika pika pika pika!" waving his arms.
"Huh what? Oh, sorry, I just reacted," said Ash, brimming with Z-Power like a blazing aura just holding onto the brilliant energy as Pikachu and Rotom-dex panicked on the street. "Can we start over?"
CRISIS AVERTED I... think
Even the usually bored or devious Frillish looked taken aback and didn't actually latch onto Ash, seeing the blazing aura about him. Trip raised his arms to shield his head, eyes wide, looking rather like a startled Meowth (except not as bristly).
He was rapidly regretting his decision (it's so unlike him to be so hasty, but this entire situation was just a mess), was about to change commands to a "Protect" instead, when Pikachu interrupted the attack.
"... Pikachu?"
Trip blinked and looked down at the Pokemon. He didn't lower his arms yet, but at least looked less alarmed, but more confused than before.
"... you're not a fake, then?"
If this really were an illusion crafted with the express purpose of lowering his guard and attacking him, aspects of it wouldn't be defending him if they already had him at a clear disadvantage! Unless this was some very cruel game, this really was...?
(He really messed up, didn't he?)
for now lol
He rubbed his head ruefully, lowering his arms from his crossed-arm stance before Pikachu sighed in relief. "When Commander Lusamine said there was another reading, I came running and I wasn't expecting to see a familiar face here in Alola."
Holding up a bright blue scanner, he took a reading and nodded. "Yeah, you're our Faller all right. How in the world did you come through a Ultra Hole, Trip?"
1/2
"I thought you were a weird illusion and that I was still stuck in that place with al the crystals and streams going nowhere... I saw some strange creatures—unlike any Pokemon I've ever seen before, but one kind of looked like Frillish, but... paler, glass-like?"
Faller?
"We have a name? Is this really such a common occurrence here...?"
So, that previous explanation was likely true too.
2/2
He pointed at Ash.
"Tell me something I don't know about you, but it's got to be something that actually happened and if I asked anyone who was there, like, I don't know, Mr. Cilan or even Pikachu here, they'd confirm it."
He... wasn't exactly sure how he'd verify it, but... if it's all put together from stuff he knows, it can't include things he doesn't, right? He glanced back at Pikachu. Maybe he could just rely on Pikachu to verify his identity? That one seemed to act like himself, but superhero outfit Ash who nearly used a Z-move on him still had him a little wary.

Ash folded his arms. "Though the winner of that tournament was Iris who beat Pikachu with Focus Blast. Right Pikachu?"
"Pika pi," said Pikachu, nodding in agreement, remembering the battles. "Pika pi, pi pikachu."
"And there you have it. You were in the top sixteen, Cilan was in the top eight, I was runner up, Iris came out on top. But if you want something you don't know about me, well... I've participated in the Sinnoh League and fought a guy who used a Darkrai. Lost miserably to that guy super hard. You can ask Dawn from Twinleaf Town about that. And Brock, he's here now teaching."
1/2
The results too, he didn't stick around for those, so, at this, he finally smiled in relief, then, embarrassment.
"... sorry for trying to paralyse you."
A verbal apology! That's rare, coming from this guy.
Frillish's expression was now rather disappointed.
"We could battle again sometime," Trip offered as he withdrew. "Frillish, return."
2/2
He paused thoughtfully. "Brock... who was that, a friend from another region?"
The name was passingly familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. He didn't have the gym leaders of Kanto memorized, so...
no subject
"Pika..." said Pikachu sourly, remembering that.
"He's the former Pewter City Gym Leader. A friend of mine. He and I traveled together for a long time, before he decided to split off and study to become a Doctor. He's here now, teaching at the Pokemon School this semester. I met up with him and Misty who's also here for the Year. She's the Cerulean City Gym Leader."
no subject
He blinked, listening to the explanation, looking impressed, but mostly surprised.
"... you make a habit of travelling with Gym Leaders?"
Between Brock and these two, it's starting to sound a little much to be a coincidence.
no subject
"Back when I started, Brock and Misty accompanied me for a long time, and then I parted ways after Johto. Tracey Sketchit in the Orange Islands where I won that League. I rejoined with Brock in Hoenn but I met May who was a Gym Leader's daughter. And then again with Brock in Sinnoh. And then Cilan and Iris in Unova, and then Clemont, Bonnie and Serena in Kalos, the first two the Gym Leader of Luminose and his younger sister, and my childhood friend."
Ash shrugged. "I mean, without Brock and Misty, I wouldn't be here where I am today, basically a mentor to a whole group of people."
1/2
"Geez, you have a LOT of friends."
This is why you don't have friends, Trip.2/2
A look of realization, then, he spoke again.
"Right, I was supposed to answer after you did... relax, I wasn't lost or doing anything suspicious, I was just taking pictures and seeing the sights." In a bizarrely limited range, but, let's not question that.
Re: 2/2
Ash smiled a little, relaxing his stance as he added, "That's fine. I'll just radio into Commander Lusamine that we're all clear right now. They were worried, because a Ultra Hole opened up after all."
