Renee didn't believe Ignis--though that was mostly because she felt like she was holding it together by the skin of her teeth, fighting tooth and nail to just pretend to be okay. And though she didn't know it, she didn't have nearly so much at stake as he did.
"Hot coffee on a hot day...I don't know, but they can probably do something to it. They did stuff like that at home." But Renee still liked coffee. And the mention of other pastry didn't deter her in the least, either.
"Suppose I'll be seeing you in class too, then," she said. "Can I copy your notes?" That was meant as a joke, and Renee chuckled a little as she shook her head. "I'm joking, school's important enough that I do treat that seriously. The docks, though--mostly I'm working alongside a couple of Machamps, directing them pushing freight around." She just was also helping them do it, but she wasn't about to mention that part.
