Dio Brando | JJBA: Stardust Crusaders (beware of PLAYER AUS)

A

[Truth be told this was really the first time Dio could recall falling unexpectedly out of the sky and into a warm ocean. He's fallen off of a lot of things before, and out of things and into things, but usually he has some idea of what the hell just happened. This time, he had no idea.

And then there'd been a pink and black bear of some kind, which had deposited him on an unfamiliar beach and then run off back across the water to ... apparently catch more people.

And so he stands on the beach, some hours after dark, arms crossed over his chest and a frown on his face. Even the stars were different. Perhaps he'd wildly underestimated Heirophant Green, but surely that weak Stand couldn't actually teleport a target far away.

Surely.

There's nothing at all approachable about Dio's current bearing and visible mood, he looks less than pleased and malevolence rolls off him in waves ... but truth be told he's waiting for the other shoe to drop. It always does. That's what fate did after all, it ripped the rug out from under him and made him deal with some new utterly contrived scenario where he's expected to be the paragon of all that's evil, but NOT THIS TIME, FATE.. He's just going to STAY HERE and WAIT IT OUT, frown slowly deepening into a scowl as time passes.]

[....Nothing happened that Dio would classify as the usual bullshittery.

At all.

Thus, somewhere around midnight, a far more bemused Dio has turned up at the visitor's plaza to find out as much as he can about where he is now and more importantly, what sort of trouble he's likely to be dealing with in the future. Just because nothing's gone pear shaped right now doesn't mean it WOULDN'T, and apparently the mayhem this place is going to provide is in the form of these 'pokemon'!

He has the basics down. People too weak to have Stands get Pokemon, and then go through regulated cockfights to find out which one has the bigger, badder creature. He could respect that, if a little distastefully.

Outside of the circle of well-lit stands and waiting locals and visitors, Dio leafs through a pamphlet he'd been handed, frown back in place. This time at least, it's thoughtful. If he's going to blend in at all (and let's face it given how he dresses, blending in isn't always an option), he's going to have to find his own pit monster. Nobody could see The World, after all, even if his Stand had several other pamphlets in its arms.

For all appearances to mundane senses, Dio just has a half dozen of the things floating sedately beside him, being ruffled now and again as if by unfelt breezes.]

Not one of the dog things. Or bats.

[When he speaks, his voice a disturbingly velvety purr, it's apparently to thin air. And not the invisible Stand right there.]

Look for a mighty lion, or a magnificent dragon. They are certain to exist if fire chimpanzees exist.
