The Doctor ( 11 ) | Doctor Who

{ A. Arrival }

There's no two ways about it, the Doctor has been busy-very suddenly his TARDIS seemed to do the equivalent of screeching to a halt and then a very violent turn that nearly threw him into the wall as though she'd managed to tip herself over. Warnings flashed all over the screens and to anyone that isn't a Time Lord they likely just looked like a bunch of random words and numbers such as 'Temporal shift 4386.458-3a' and 'Alignment 743914a3t4b'. What the Hell had just happened?

The Doctor stands and brushes his waistcoat off and frowns heavily at another warning '5-3h7511tb.' The TARDIS jerks again and he barely has time to grab onto the console to keep himself upright. 'Universal Shift- Recalibrating.' The words flash up on the screen and The Doctor feels the color drain from his face. Oddly enough though, The TARDIS seems okay-maybe a little queasy based on what sounds like unhappy moans from the cloister bells.

"Okay... you okay now?" He pets her soothingly, lovingly as she continues to moan and recalibrate. He's never seen this before be he vaguely remembers someone back in his academy days talking about a universal shift and suddenly he might regret tossing the manual into a supernova-just a bit.

He rubs thoughtfully at his chin but a steady stream of smoke coming out of the console has him rushing over to see what's going on. He begins to cough and has no choice but to dash out of the TARDIS, the cloud of smoke following.

"You could have just said you wanted alone time!" He huffs at his blue box before straightening his jacket and then bow tie. "Nice dear. I'll just... go and meet the locals, shall I?"
