So what do you call a vampire plummeting toward the ocean at mach speed under the light of the moon?
Well, his name, one would hope. This one's name is Daichi and he is terrified.
He doesn't scream, to his own surprise, as he suddenly shifts from NewYorkApartment to AlolaSky in the blink of an eye for zero discernible reason. He doesn't scream when, in lieu of sticking a nasty landing in some salty water, he's effortlessly nabbed from the air by a very large bear also moving at mach speed. He doesn't scream when he's delivered rather unceremoniously to shore where people seem to be expecting him. Or, well, not him specifically but someone like him.
Nah, it comes later, when the fuss has died down a little and he's been briefed about his situation (which is largely him Thinking he understands things but not Quite and maybe he's been playing a little too much Pokémon Platinum, that has to be it). It's when he's sitting outside of the Hau'oli Pokécentre staring up at the moon, marvelling at the clearness of this foreign sky, and even then it's not really a proper scream. It's a sudden choke, a sniffle, a shiver of anticipation gone unfulfilled as he realises the quiet is not because it's so peaceful but because he's suddenly alone.
Even if he's perpetually with some company, there's still a crushing loneliness with the absence of his other companions.
[THE MUSIC FESTIVAL - NIGHTTIME ROMP]
There's predictably been some urging by some of the locals for Daichi to get out. No thanks, he'd rather sleep while the Imminent Glowing Death Orb remains in the sky.
But that's fine, because some of the festivities naturally stretch into the evening. Music festivals in his world tend to go on into the night, anyway, so he's not super surprised that there's plenty of nighttime activity when he wakes up just after sunset. It's pretty refreshing; he was never one to get out much largely because he just... didn't know what to do.
He doesn't do much at first, simply strolling around the festival grounds to familiarise himself with the location and soak in the sounds. It's admittedly a little overwhelming with his enhanced vampire senses, but just as a regular human eventually adjusts to a concert atmosphere, so too does he fall into the swing of things eventually.
Perhaps he falls a little too into it, as he bumps into a passerby along the street - it's you! Find yourself faced with a 6'5" twig of a man folding his hands tensely as he bows lightly, sheepishly, in apology. "Ah, I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going... Are you alright?"
[WILDCARD: send me something completely different if you want! go nuts! it's free real estate babey!! he won't willingly go out in the daytime since i'm still playing him like a vampire, but as long as he stays inside and away from the windows you're honestly good to go!
