A Who's Who Of Alola!

There are many people on Alola, and many of them are prepared to welcome visitors to the islands! Many of them are also working tirelessly to make your visit more active and happy. These are some of the people who are important to the islands' well being, as they are here and important totems for the community on a whole.
Aether Paradise
President/Commander Lusamine
Lusamine is the President of Aether Paradise, and the one who runs the paperwork of the day to day business. Her husband Mohs disappeared years ago and she continued his work, building Aether Paradise and making it into a safe haven for Pokemon while secretly researching Ultra Holes. While some of their past work is a bit shady, and in the case of Silvally, downright illegal, Lusamine is on the road to recovery.

Wicke
Best friend and second in command of the Aether Foundation, Wicke is a gentle soul who has a firm hand in everything that Lusamine does. She is a warm, steadying presence that manages to do right beside her sometimes manic friend who has a bit of a problem sometimes when it comes to holding in her friends weirder ideas. Wicke is a loving, caring, and nurturing person who can keep even the most ornery of people in line. Don't mistake her appearance for just a pretty face however, she is a cunning scientist when she needs to be.

Faba
Faba means well. As Wicke's assistant, formerly Chief Scientist of the Aether Paradise, he was responsible for creating the Type Null which evolved into Silvally under the nose of Lusamine, and spearheading the research on Ultra Holes after Mohs disappearance. Smart, ruthless, and cunning, his own falling is that he is undone by his own assumption of the situation and his own foppish desire to be number one. He is not without his positives however, and if you get him talking about Royal Mask, you will find a kindred spirit even if you might be a certain Team Rocket Member.

The Kahunas
The Four Island Kings and Queens are collectively known as the Kahunas, spiritual leaders of the people who guide the people of Alola since the olden times. They help the people in their day to day lives, fostering close ties with each person and helping when they can. On occasion, when a young trainer takes up the Island Pilgrimage, they decide to undergo a Trial when successful, to earn a Z-Crystal and then to earn a Z-Ring through the Grand Trial in order to gain the right to wield the right of the Z.
From Melemele to Poni Island, the Eldest to the Youngest is listed here.
Hala
Already a grandfather at his age, Hala is the eldest of the four, who stands as a wise leader among his people. He has led the people of Melemele with honor and wisdom over the course of many years and has given thought to this new situation at hand, with the opening of the Ultra Holes and the arrival of the Fallers. No doubt this is a new development in the cycle of life.

Nanu
A man with a shady past and a shady attitude, his lazy carefree attitude hides a darkness to him. Hailing from a checkered past before settling down on Ula'Ula, Nanu whiddles his time away in the police station taking naps, ducking challengers and responsibility as Kahuna until he is needed. His past ties him in with the boss of Team Rocket Giovanni, however, not many people realize this. Nanu is a good man, who has dedicated his life to going straight. However, this situation has often meant he stays well away from conflict, until the situation calls for him to step in, and his methods may seem underhanded due to his preference to being a Dark Type trainer.

Olivia
Previously the youngest of the four, Olivia is the Island Queen of Akala, having inherited the title from Kiawe's grandfather upon his death years ago. She is a Rock Type Trainer, and is compassionate, straight forward and amazed by the fierceness of the youth today. She is a wonderful, loving woman who makes her own beautiful Z-Rings, and is in a relationship with Brock of Kanto. Yes, Brock finally got a girlfriend. Amazing.

Hapu
The newest and freshly minted Hapu, Hapu is the strongest and youngest of all the trainers of Poni Island. However, she is certainly also the wisest in the ways of Tapu Fini and her ways. She is a radish farmer by trade, and is possessed of a strong work ethic. Hapu is a powerful woman in both skill and morality, and will be straight forward with anyone who she likes, or dislikes. A friend to the end.

Islanders
The following are significant islanders on the four islands, people of note who the Fallers can interact with on many occasions. This list is constantly being updated.
Kukui
Kukui is an active man, who dons the role of a Pokemon Professor by day, and a Pro Wrestler by night. As Professor Kukui, he works at the Pokemon School, teaching the Younger Generation in order to make sure that they become the best people they can be, and is often loaded with a pun or two.
As Royal Mask, he is a fiery individual with gleaming muscles, a Incineroar by his side and the powerful scent of the ring off the heat of the light. He is the most powerful Trainer in the Ring, and he battles his opponents on the regular, with the phrase ENJOY. Of course, his identity as Royal Mask is a secret.

Jenny
The spearhead of the police force, Jenny is the head of the Melemele Police force with Gumshoos, her partner. Together, she and the Totem Pokemon ferry out crime on a regular basis. If there's trouble brewing, they're together busting it. She and the Melemele Joy are best friends, and are often seen together on break having drinks.

The Four Joys of Alola
There are four Joys across Alola, one for each major town, except one in Ula'Ula is in a Kanto-based town called Malie City, as Po Town has fallen into disrepair thanks to the efforts of the local Skull Gang. Joy in Melemele is a fairy amicable soul, having participated in many of Ash and CO's adventures inadvertently.

Miss Anela
If the Open Market had a face, it would be Miss Anela. A common face of the Marketplace, Miss Anela has been there since she was a little girl. A championship PokeHula Dancer right up to the date, she has been known to pass on the legacy of the Dance and the traditions of the lands since she was young. She and the other shopkeepers will gladly give you food, for free, even if you don't have money. Nature's Bounty is for everyone to share, Human and Pokemon alike. All are One in the great tapestry of life.

Nina
Worker and Mascot of the Pancake Parlor, a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, this destination hosts the Annual Pancake Race. A site which holds a race around the island for Pokemon and Trainers laboring under obstacles that would otherwise topple a layer of pancakes, for the chance tow in a years supply of Alolan Pancakes. Kind and Gentle, Nina is a wonderful person who is nothing but smiles, and hard work.

"Master" Oranguru
Oranguru or "Master" as he is commonly referred to as the trade adheres him to, is a Cafe Owner in the middle of Tapu Koko's Forest. He is a kind and gentle Oranguru who tends to a garden of berries and produce, and tends to a Cafe, serving humans and Pokemon alike. His place is a place of rest and relaxation, and he trades with people and Pokemon alike. His clientele is long, storied and distinguished despite looking like a "run down shack" in the middle of nowhere. Everyone in the island respects him, and refers to him as Master. You may earn a Z-Ring and Z-Crystal from him, if you respect him and his Trial, which may or may not involve cooking and impressing a Tapu if it comes down to it with your Iron Chef-like cooking. Who knows. His Trials are Varied, as part of being a Totem Pokemon.
