So I Heard You Like Pokemon - What to Do First!

So you've arrived! And you've been currently displaced from your own world. Well, if you've made the option of staying, as you may have decided to, otherwise why be here in the first place, you have noticed strange things everywhere called Pokemon. These Pokemon are wonderful creatures of all shapes and sizes, and are the native life of this world.

People have had a symbiotic relationship with Pokemon since the very beginning of human existence. Some even theorize that the humans are in fact, a species of Pokemon! Some Regions had married them long ago, although we don't dwell on that nowadays.

What's important in these days, is that we've got partners.

And one of these maybe yours!

The four Tapus, Tapu Koko on Melemele Island, Tapu Lele on Akala Island, Tapu Bulu on Ula'ula Island, and Tapu Fini on Poni Island are all subtly nudging wild Pokemon towards their destined partners, so that you may encounter them in the wild. Within the day, or two, you may encounter them. Befriend them. Have an adventure with them, and then, they'll join you as a friend! Trust and love and friendship goes a long way in this region. Pokemon aren't just battle companions; they are family.

Some of the strongest Pokemon are known as Totem Pokemon. These powerful Totem Pokemon will sometimes test you, under many different ways. Be it battle, adventure, kindness, and other things. They will reward you with a Z-Crystal, and perhaps, if you are lucky, a Z-Ring as well. Although you will need leave from the Grand Trials to wield both.

But approval can come not just from the four Kahuna, but from the Tapus. Those who the Tapus take very special interest in can also deem worthy.

And word has it, that the island draws those who need healing to its shores. Just like it's done to you.

The full Pokedex is available on the island, with some notes. Obviously certain Pokemon are not available, and will need mod approval. Specific region-only Pokemon might need consideration, but on a whole, the dex is open for business. Just don't go crazy with it. A general Anime-based limit of six on hand is the recommended limit for a prospective trainer who is looking to enter the Pokemon League. The Alola League has competitors who have competed with much fewer on hand.

Additionally, for those Fallers who have no idea what Pokemon are, there is a special class or standard enrollment at the Pokemon School taught by Professor Kukui and Samson Oak. This will teach people about the World of Pokemon. This teaches everything from basics to advanced classes, and those who are more interested in the actual sciences of Pokemon, such as mathematics, STAB, IV, nutrition, breeding, health care, doctorates and whatever else will be given the resources to continue this field of study and enter the Aether Foundation Studies Course.

Enrollment for the Special Class or Standard Enrollment will be available upon the opening of the game for your character In Character, and is completely optional. What they learn is up to them, and what they become proficient in is up to them! Who knows, in the three years of the game run time, they might become a Professor of Pokemon and make Papa Kukui proud.
