That "seems to be" earns the duck a raise of the eyebrow as well, though Edward's features retain their general softness. He supposes this city has seen a great deal of chaos over the past several days; perhaps this fellow had been away from town for some time? What an unfortunate return if that's the case.

His ratlike tail flicks behind him. "Yeah," he answers gently. His ears are still awfully sensitive. "That's what people are calling me, so I guess thats what I am! I'm actually trying to find this place..." He unfolds a crudely-drawn map with some street directions and points to a circled building.

"They said this place was letting new folks stay here while they got their bearings. I think I might've taken a wrong turn somewhere."

He straightens up suddenly. "Oh! Sorry, you can call me Edward. What might I call you?"
